Plagiari is a suburb on the outskirts of Thessaloniki, the second largest city of Greece. The primary school is approximately 80 years old. The student population is fairly homogeneous with only about 5% of students coming from immigrant families but who are well-integrated with no language difficulties.

   The majority of the students are from traditional Greek family backgrounds (two-parent, divorced-parent families). The school also caters students with special needs such as dyslexia and other learning difficulties.

   The teaching staff are very keen on taking part in new projects which will enhance learning and are very eager and enthusiastic with the topic of the particular project. Any new experience is very valuable to us and this partnership will give us and our students the opportunity to learn more about other educational systems in Europe through creative expression.
